Romeria de San Cecilio What is the Romeria de San Cecilio? Well, in theory, San Cecilio is the patron saint of Granada and a romeria, dates back many centuries as a form of pilgramage. So it is a pilgramge to pay homage to Cecilio at the Abadia de Sacromonte. And what is it in practice? A thouroughly enjoyable way for thousands to spend a glorious sunny afternoon in Granada. Like most festivales that I have found in Andalucia, religious or otherwise, the most important thing is for people to meet up with family and friends and to relax. The idea is to gather large numbers of people together, have a few beers and a bit of food and kick back  and enjoy la vida dulce. Yesterday I got my hands on a serious camera, but as you will see, with such a machine  I am still intimidated a little by how good it is. There can be no complaints about the instrument moreover in this case it would be more like  ” A good tool blaming the workman”
